Have you looked in the mirror and wondered how you got to this point in your life?
In college you knew you would crush your career goals. You were going to get married and have 2 kids. You would definitely have all the money in the world to raise your kids in a brownstone in Brooklyn. Life was going to be full of hugs and cuddles and an occasional skinned knee that a simple kiss and Elmo BandAid would make all better. You would masterfully have it all and not make any of the same mistakes your parents made. And, most of all, you would definitely not let yourself go. Your hair and make-up would always be done perfectly and your clothes would be super cute. And, it would be EASY.
However, this morning proved that all of your visions of the future were totally wrong as you thought, ’Where did I put my make-up? Oh yeah! I left it in the car 2 Sundays ago when we were frantically trying to make it to church on time.’ “OH NO! The bell rings in 10 minutes!’ “EVERYBODY GET YOUR SHOES ON!!!!! Why aren’t your pants on?! I woke you up 45 minutes ago! Did you put your snack in your backpack? I thought you already ate breakfast, you just started eating now? Oh, this is your 3rd breakfast? OK, no time for breakfast #3! Everybody, GET IN THE CAR!!!!!”
We are so happy you found us!
You belong here if you answer yes to any (or all) of the following:
– You feel like an unpaid Uber driver catering only to children.
– You feed your kids 2 dinners each evening… the pre-sport/activity dinner and the post-sport/activity devour-anything-and-everything-edible-in-sight before bed binge.
– You wake up in an amazing mood, meditate about positivity and gratitude, and are ready to have a loving day with your family, only to scream “PLEASE, GET YOUR SHOES ON!!!” 186 times before 8:30 am.
– Your family is sitting around the dinner table staring at their cell phones like exhausted zombies after the Apocalypse and, if they miraculously hear you, answer in grunts when you try to engage them about their day.
– You want special moments with your loved ones to last forever because they go by so fast.
– You look in the mirror and see someone very different than you ever expected at this point in your life (some ways are good and some ways definitely need improving)
– You are a professional juggler of schedules and have started dropping the important balls.
– You have multiple children all with VERY different personalities and don’t know how on earth they came from the same gene pool.
– You used to be into clean eating/organic/no fast food and have found yourself knee deep in Dunkin’ Donuts Drive Thru bags and frozen pizza boxes, and, suddenly, that Burger King isn’t looking so bad after all.
– You struggle to make date time with your amazing spouse whom you fell madly in love with 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years ago.
– You want just 15 minutes a day to enjoy time together as a family.
Welcome. We love you.
